Dr. Dhamodhar Kosanam, DMD

General Dentist

Dr. Dhamodhar graduated with BDS in 1996 and practiced dentistry in India for 12 years. He moved to Canada with his family and went to Dalhousie University, completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2013.

Since 2013, he has been working with Mount Pearl Dental and Southern Shore Dental. He's trained to administer nitrous oxide for conscious sedation during dental treatment. Apart from providing regular dental services to his patients with care, he likes doing root canal treatments and enjoys providing Invisalign treatment to improve his patient's smile. He's thankful to have the opportunity to help people suffering with dental problems. He enjoys the daily interaction with his patients while treating them.

When not working, he likes to spend time with his family. He also enjoys hiking the East Coast Trails and going offroad on his ATV.
Dr. Donald Walsh, DMD

General Dentist

Dr Walsh was born and raised in St John’s , NL where he attended Holy Cross and Gonzaga High School. He became a Medical Laboratory Technologist and worked at St Clare’s Hospital for several years before pursuing career in dentistry. He attended Memorial University and received a BSc degree (Hons) in 1980 before attending Dalhousie School of Dentistry that same year. He received his DDS degree in 1984, and established Mount Pearl Dental that year and has been practicing general dentistry since then. Dr Walsh has been an active member of the Newfoundland Dental Association and became its president in 2004.

He currently resides in Mount Pearl with wife, Sheila. They have 3 children who have successful careers, and three grandchildren. Away from work, Dr Walsh enjoys boating and travel.

Dr. Steinn Kristmundsson, DDS

General Dentist

Dr. Steinn Kristmundsson was born and raised in Iceland and came to Vinland (Newfoundland) to further his studies. He has a BSC in Biology from Memorial University and graduated from Dalhousie School of Dentistry in 1991. After working on the mainland, Dr. Steinn moved back to Newfoundland in 1998 and has been practicing dentistry in Newfoundland since then.

Dr. Steinn has been a part of Elliott Dental Group for several years. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is passionate about interacting with his patients to understand their needs and providing quality dental care to his patients of all ages.

He loves hiking and spending time in the great outdoors. Although on a scattered day, you will find Dr. Steinn with his nose buried in a book and listening to a podcast simultaneously.
Dr. Moulik Patel, DDS

General Dentist

Dr. Moulik Patel grew up in the small town of Woodstock, Ontario where he attended Huron Park Secondary School. He completed his undergraduate Hons. BSc degree from the University of Toronto (2017) and pursued a Masters in Clinical Anatomy at Western University (2019) before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Western University in 2023. Dr. Patel is dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements + technologies in the dental field with the aim to integrate modern techniques into his practice to provide the most effective care. He has a keen interest in restorative procedures, endodontics and oral surgery.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his family, cooking new recipes, working out, going for hikes and rooting for the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Dr. Victoria Houston, DDS

General Dentist

Dr. Victoria Houston was born and raised in the small town of Carlisle, Ontario with the strong ambition of becoming a general dentist. She attended Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario, where she obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Statistics and Life Sciences. That same year, in 2019, she began her pursuit of a DDS degree at the Schulich School of Dentistry in London, Ontario, graduating in 2023. She recently moved to Newfoundland and is excited to meet and provide dental care to many members of the community. In her free time, she enjoys running, swimming, and going for long drives with her friends and family.
